Editing your video

Apply your edits to the finished video

Understand why an edit can be saved while the downloadable video still shows the old version.

In this guide

Your settings and your finished video

Editing a caption, changing a track or moving a scene updates the choices for your tour. The finished video needs to be assembled again to include those changes. Until then, its preview or download may still show the last finished version.

Why the download can still look the same

Imagine you change “Three bedrooms” to “Four bedrooms” on a scene. The editor now holds the new wording, but the previously finished video can still say “Three bedrooms.” Apply the changes creates a new finished version with your latest choices.

  1. Check that any new voiceover or scene effect has finished.
  2. Apply the changes and allow the updated tour to complete.
  3. Play the finished version and check the exact edit you made.
  4. Download it again if you need a new local copy.

Finish saving the individual edits first

  • Text fields such as a scene caption save when you click outside them.
  • The reorder window needs Save order.
  • Music volume has its own Save control.
  • New narration or a generated scene must finish before the updated tour can be assembled.

Use Changes not applied as a reminder

When Changes not applied appears by the video preview, select it to see the available list of differences from the last finished video. Older videos may need to be applied once before a detailed comparison is available. The badge describes the video; it is not a promise that every separate social post or property page has been updated.

Recognize when the finished video still needs updatingExample
  1. Open this reminder to review the changes waiting to be applied.
  2. Build the finished video from the saved edits.

If the editor asks you to update the voiceover

A changed script or voice choice needs fresh audio. Use the voiceover update action shown, wait for generation and scene alignment to finish, then apply the changes. If the script edit was accidental, review Cancel script changes before using it; it discards those script edits.

Wait while narration is matched to the roomsExample
  1. Wait for alignment to finish before applying the video.

Make the updated video

  1. Finish your scene, text, audio and branding edits.
  2. Select Apply the changes in the video editor.
  3. Wait while the updated video is being prepared.
  4. Watch the finished result, then download or share it.
Review and finish your videoExample
  1. Download the finished video.
  2. Apply your edits to update the finished video.

If the action is unavailable

Check whether a scene or another part of the tour is still being generated, and read any message shown beside the action. Allow the current work to finish before trying again.

Replace the copies you already shared

A file already downloaded to your computer or uploaded to a social network does not update itself. Download the new finished video and replace that copy where needed. Open a property page or social post separately to check its own text and media.

If the words still look or sound unchanged

Narration, avatar speech, generated 3D letters and ordinary captions use different update actions. Follow the case that matches the words you want to change; applying alone does not generate replacement speech.
