Adjust scene length and the pace of your video
Give important rooms more time and keep the tour moving.

Choose the overall pace
Open Editor and find Smart Timing. With it on, the app chooses the overall pace and coordinates scene changes with the music. Turn it off to reveal the overall clip-duration setting and choose a starting pace yourself. Music can still affect the final timing.

Adjust a particular scene
- Find the scene you want viewers to spend more time on.
- Turn on Longer duration when that option is shown. It gives the scene more time relative to the others; it is not a field for an exact number of seconds.
- For a video clip, trim the selected portion using Start (s), End (s) or the handles on the trim bar.
- Check the scene before and after it, then apply the changes.
- 1Move this scene later in the tour.
- 2Give this scene more time.
- 3Edit this scene’s caption.
Keep the useful part of a video clip
- Find Start (s) and End (s) below the video preview. “s” means seconds into the original clip.
- Set the start after any camera shake and the end before unwanted footage. For example, 1 to 5 keeps the part between those points.
- Click outside a typed value to save it, or release the trim handle after dragging.
- Use Reset beside the trim bar if you want to remove that trim selection. Apply the changes and watch the finished result.
- 1Start after any unwanted opening footage.
- 2End before the part you want to leave out.
Why Longer duration may disappear
When Keep audio is on, a clip plays at its own natural length so its recorded speech or sound can remain usable. Still photos have no Start/End trim controls because there is no recorded clip to cut. Reels also have different timing controls.
Keep the sound in mind
Longer captions and spoken descriptions need time to finish. If you change timing in a narrated tour, listen to the relevant section and check voiceover alignment before applying the final changes.
Decide what deserves more time
Give a main living area or a view enough time to be understood. A repeated angle or a brief detail shot can usually be shorter. Watch the result at normal speed, with the voiceover playing, before making more adjustments.
Use one pacing change at a time
If a tour feels rushed, first give the key room more time and shorten its caption. If it feels repetitive, remove an unnecessary angle. Review the whole tour before changing several duration settings together.
