Add a voiceover to an AI reel

Generate or upload narration, check that it fits your reel and trim it when needed.

In this guide

Open the reel itself

An AI reel plays its narration as one continuous recording. If the reel includes a talking avatar introduction, the narration starts after that introduction. It does not use the property tour’s room-by-room voiceover matching.

  1. Open the finished AI reel from My videos, then choose Voiceover.
  2. Generate a script and recording, or upload a finished recording. Review the voice and displayed credit amount before generating.
  3. When using a suggested script, check the property facts and keep the wording short enough for this reel.

Check the length against the reel

Listen to the recording and read the length message in Voiceover. A slightly longer narration can make the reel play a little slower, down to 90% of its normal speed. If it still cannot fit, the editor asks you to trim it or write a shorter script.

Trim the recording without losing the original

  1. Select Trim the voiceover under the length warning or current recording.
  2. Move the Start and End handles. Keep complete sentences and leave a little space around the first and last words.
  3. Listen to the selected portion, check its length and select Save the trimmed voiceover.
  4. Use Restore the original if you want the full recording back. Review its length again before applying.
Trim narration to fit an AI reelExample
  1. Choose where the recording begins.
  2. Keep the ending within the available time.

Apply and listen to the finished reel

  1. Check that the intended recording is selected in Voiceover.
  2. Select Apply the changes after the recording is ready and the length warning is resolved.
  3. Watch the complete reel with sound. Check the opening, any avatar introduction, the narration ending and music volume.
  4. Download the updated reel. Previously downloaded or posted files keep their old sound.
