Is the automatic caption generator free?
Your first successful captioned video is free without an account. After that, sign in: a new video costs 10 AI credits and a restyle of the same saved original costs 5. The cost and your balance are shown before you confirm.
What video can I upload?
Use an MP4 or MOV containing H.264 video and AAC audio, up to 60 seconds and 100 MB. Choose a clip with clear speech. If your camera uses HEVC, export an H.264 MP4 first. Silent videos cannot produce spoken captions.
Which caption styles are available?
Social Boost, Premium Editorial and High-Energy Ads are the same packs offered in the VideoTour.ai app. Watch their real examples, choose one of 20 color palettes or set two custom accents. Sound effects are optional.
Can I preview my own captions before generating?
The main player keeps your original video. Click Preview beneath a style to watch a prerecorded example in a separate window. Selecting a style does not open a video. Your own captioned video is available after rendering; color choices apply to that result, not the examples.
Can I edit the transcript or download an SRT file?
This tool delivers an MP4 with captions burned into the video. It does not currently include transcript editing, translation or SRT export. Review the captions before sharing; speech recognition can make mistakes.
How does restyling work?
Within the download window, choose Change style. The tool uses your original video, not the already-captioned result. Confirm the 5-credit cost to render a new version. Your previous successful download remains available until its own expiry.
When are credits used?
Credits are deducted only when a finished result has been saved. Failed renders do not deduct credits or use your free successful result. If your balance changes during generation, add credits and explicitly unlock the same result without rendering again.
How long are my videos available?
With an account, your finished video is saved to your account. Without one it is not saved, so download it before you leave. The tool stores your original and finished MP4 privately and sends the source to our caption provider to process it.
