Use your own music track
Upload a soundtrack and balance it with your property narration.
In this guide
Choose the audio file
Use a music file you own or have permission to publish with the video. The upload area accepts MP3, WAV, M4A or AAC. Listen to the track first so there are no unexpected spoken words or loud sections.
Choose the right audio destination
Upload music is for the background soundtrack. A recording of you describing this listing belongs in Voiceover → Upload a voiceover, where it can be matched to the scenes. Keeping those sources separate gives you clearer control of the music level.
Upload the track
- Open the tour’s Music tab.
- Turn on Background music, then select Upload music.
- Choose an audio file or drag it into the upload area.
- Wait for the upload to finish and check the Music ready to use message.
- 1Choose your music file or drag it into this area.
Check the selected track
Your uploaded tracks appear in the list below the upload area. Use the play button to preview a track, then select its name to choose it for the tour. Check the highlighted selection, especially if you have uploaded more than one file.
Balance and finish
- Adjust Music volume so the narration remains clear.
- Select Save when the volume has changed.
- Apply the changes and play the finished video with sound.
- Download the updated version if you need a file to publish.
- 1Adjust the volume, then select Save.
If the uploaded track does not play in the tour
- Check that the upload completed and the track appears in the uploaded list.
- Select its name, rather than only using the preview button.
- Confirm Background music is on. Change Music volume if needed and select Save.
- Apply the changes, wait for the video and listen to the new finished version.
Check more than the opening
Listen to a spoken scene, the middle of the tour and the closing. A track that starts softly can become much louder later. Test the downloaded video as well as the editor before publishing it.
