Design a thumbnail for your listing
Choose the photo, layout and information people see before playing the video.
In this guide
Open the thumbnail creator
- Open the tour and select Share.
- Choose Create with AI beneath the current thumbnail.
- Check the property photo shown. Use Change the photo if you want another image from this tour.
If you have not created the tour yet
The creation form already includes Video thumbnail. Choose its layout, accent colour and optional higher quality there. The steps below use Create with AI in an existing tour when you want a new cover.
- 1Turn this off to keep the first photo as the cover.
- 2Choose your accent colour and optional higher-quality cover.
Choose a layout
Scroll sideways through the layout previews, then select the design that suits the property. Think about whether the exterior, price or agent should stand out first. Each layout arranges the available listing details differently.
- 1Choose the layout that suits this listing.
Check the headline and selected agent
- Review Video headline. Keep it short and factual, such as “Covered patio and room to entertain”.
- Check Agent shown on the thumbnail.
- Confirm the name, photo and logos for that agent before continuing.
- 1Use a short, factual headline.
- 2This agent choice also applies to the video.
If a logo, portrait or price is missing
Check the selected agent and the underlying property price before creating the image. Some options depend on those details being available. Choosing to display a logo cannot supply a missing logo file; add the correct asset first and reopen the thumbnail choices.
Choose what appears on the cover
- Accent colour: the main colour used by the design. Use a brand colour or reset it to follow the logo.
- Price: turn the price option on only when the listing amount is correct.
- Agent and brokerage logos: choose whether the available logos appear.
- Profile photo: choose whether to include the selected agent’s photo.
- Quality and format: choose the image quality and shape, then read the updated credit amount.
- 1Decide whether the property price should appear.
- 2Choose the cover image’s shape.
Choose a cover that works at a small size
Use a short headline, one clear main photograph and only the useful supporting details. A phone-sized preview should still identify the home and the reason to watch. Check that a logo or portrait does not hide an important property feature.
Create and inspect the result
You can use Choose another image to return to an available tour photo or previous thumbnail. Changing a headline after an image is made does not rewrite the text already drawn into that older image.
- Select Create the thumbnail once and wait for it to finish.
- Check the property photo, headline, price, agent and logos.
- View the cover at phone size to make sure the words remain readable.
- Confirm the selected image in Share before sending your viewing link.
Correct or replace a generated cover
- If the image contains an old price or a spelling error, correct the source details or headline first.
- Reopen Create with AI and review the photo, agent and display options before creating a new thumbnail.
- For a simpler replacement, use Choose another image and pick a tour photo or an available previous cover.
- Check the current image in Share, then refresh or replace any cover you already uploaded elsewhere.
Use the cover outside VideoTour.ai
Use Download beneath the current thumbnail in Share to save the image. Choose it manually in another app when that app offers a cover-image control. Changing the thumbnail in VideoTour.ai does not rewrite an image already uploaded to that destination.
Check the cost before making another version
Generating a new version is a new AI attempt and uses the credits shown for your selected options. A result that finishes but is not the look you wanted is different from a technical failure. Compare existing takes before paying to generate again.
