Editing your video

Replace a photo or add your own video footage

Update one scene or add more media to an existing property tour.

In this guide

Prepare the replacement

Choose the correct image or video file for this property. Use a clear photo or a steady clip, and check the camera angle and any recorded sound. Keep your original files in the property’s folder.

Replace a view or add another one?

Replace the existing media when you have a better photograph of the same view. Use Add photos or videos when the new file shows another room or feature you want to keep as an extra scene. Adding a file does not automatically remove the old view.

Replace one scene

Use this action when the new file should take the place of an existing scene. Review the caption and narration afterward; they may still describe the previous view.

  1. Open the tour and find the scene you want to update.
  2. Select Change the photo or Change the video, depending on the current scene.
  3. Choose an image or video file from your device.
  4. Wait for the upload and check that the new media appears in the intended scene.
Replace the media in one sceneExample
  1. Choose a replacement image or video file.

Add a scene without replacing one

  1. Use Add photos or videos above the scenes, or Add more photos or videos below them.
  2. Choose the additional files and wait for the uploads to finish.
  3. Check where the new scenes were added and arrange them into the tour.
  4. Review the total number of scenes; a tour can hold up to 60.
Add more media to the tourExample
  1. Add scenes without replacing an existing one.

Review an uploaded video clip

  1. Trim off unwanted footage using Start (s), End (s) or the trim handles.
  2. Decide whether Keep audio should include its original sound.
  3. For a vertical tour, check Crop the video when shown so important details are not cut off.
  4. Apply the changes and watch how the clip joins the surrounding scenes.
Choose the portion of a clip to keepExample
  1. Start after any unwanted opening footage.
  2. End before the part you want to leave out.

Example: replace an old kitchen photo

After replacing the kitchen photo, check whether the caption still names the correct feature and whether the narration refers to anything no longer visible. If the replacement is a different room, update both pieces of text and move the scene into a sensible position before applying the tour.

Review and apply

  1. Check the new scene’s order, duration, caption and sound.
  2. If you changed a still photo, decide whether to add an animation.
  3. Check that any narration still matches the room being shown.
  4. Apply the changes and watch the finished tour before downloading.
