Choose a vertical, wide or square video

Which shape should I use?

Check the requirements of the place where you will post the video before choosing.

• Vertical (9:16) fills a phone screen and suits reels and stories.
• Wide (16:9) is a useful starting point for websites, presentations and video players.
• Square (1:1) can suit a square placement in a social feed.

What the format labels mean

• 9:16 / Vertical: taller than it is wide, like a phone held upright.
• 16:9 / Horizontal: wider than it is tall, like a television.
• 1:1 / Square: the same width and height.
• Resolution: how much image detail the finished video contains. Higher settings can make the file larger.

Change the format

1. Choose the format during creation, or open Format in an existing video’s editor.
2. Select the shape you need.
3. Review the photos, captions, property information and branding in that shape.
4. Apply the changes and download the newly finished version.

Keep the whole photo or fill a vertical frame

In a vertical tour, a wide photo or clip can show a Crop the photo or Crop the video checkbox on its scene. Cropping fills the taller frame but can cut off the sides. If an important feature disappears, turn cropping off and compare the finished result. This option is not shown when the scene is already vertical or when editing a reel.

Choose the level of detail

In Format, use Resolution of the video to choose an available quality. A higher setting can look sharper and create a larger file, but it cannot recover detail missing from a blurry source photo. If the control is locked, the current plan does not allow changing it.

What Split-Screen Montage does

1. In Editor, turn on Split-Screen Montage if you want a divided view using three compatible photos or videos.
2. Open the gear labelled Split-Screen settings. Add mullion separators means adding lines between the pictures.
3. Choose black or white and adjust Width, or turn the separators off. Select Ok.
4. Apply the changes and check that each view is still clear at the size you will share.

Check the edges

A photo composed for a wide screen can look different in a vertical video. Check important features near the edges and make sure text remains readable.

Prepare different versions for different uses

1. Finish and download the version you need for the listing or website.
2. Change the format only after keeping that finished file if you need both versions.
3. Review the framing, text and branding again, apply the changes, then download the next version with a clear filename.

If the export says Full HD but a room looks blurry

An AI scene can have a lower source resolution than the finished tour. Changing the export resolution does not recreate the missing detail. Review that scene and consider generating at a higher resolution or upscaling the completed clip.
