The parts of a video
- Tour: the complete property video you are making.
- Scene: one part of the tour, usually based on one photo or video clip.
- Clip: a short piece of moving video.
- Caption: words shown on a scene.
- Voiceover: narration that describes the property.
- Script: the words that the voiceover or presenter will say.
The look of the listing
- Overlay: information placed over the video, such as property facts or contact details.
- Thumbnail: the cover image people see before playing the video.
- Intro and outro: the opening and closing pieces of a tour.
- Aspect ratio: the video’s shape—wide, vertical or square.
- Resolution: the level of image detail in the finished video.
Your profile and agent details
Your account gives you access to the workspace. Your agent details are the name, contact information and images used to present a listing. A saved agent is a reusable set of those details; it does not create a login for that person.
Three places the same words can appear
“Private garden” might be a scene caption on the video, part of a spoken voiceover script, or a social-post caption below a post. Those are separate pieces of content. If the fact changes, edit each place where you used it.
Edit the caption and its positionExample
- 1Move the caption away from a key property feature.
- 2Edit the wording, then click outside the field to save.
Three different kinds of sound
If a video is too loud or has an unexpected sound, first identify which of these you are hearing.
- Background music: the soundtrack chosen in Music.
- Voiceover: narration selected or uploaded in Voiceover.
- Scene audio: sound already inside an uploaded video clip, controlled by Keep audio when that option is available.
What the save and status messages mean
- Unsaved changes: an edit still needs its Save button.
- Saved: the settings or text have been stored. This does not always mean the finished video has been rebuilt.
- Changes not applied: the finished video needs Apply the changes to include the latest settings.
- Generating or rendering: work is still in progress; return to the existing project to check it.
- Published: a property page is available to visitors. The page’s owner can still edit it.
Review and finish your videoExample
- 1Download the finished video.
- 2Apply your edits to update the finished video.
Words used on a property page
- Headline: the main heading on the page.
- CTA: the invitation to take the next step, such as Request a viewing.
- Lead: an enquiry recorded from a visitor.
- Lead destination email: the inbox used for those enquiry emails.
- Preview: the place to check the finished appearance before sharing.
